After breakfast we took MRT Red Line and alights at Ecological District Station. From Ecological District Station Exit No. 2,take Bus Red 51 to Lotus Lake 莲池潭 / Spring Autumn Pavilions 春秋阁 / Dragon & Tiger Pagodas 龙虎塔 around 15 mins bus ride,bus fare NT12 ($0.5) per person.
Lotus Lake 莲池潭 is famous for the lotus plants on the lake and the temples around the lake, including Spring Autumn Pavilions 春秋阁 / Dragon & Tiger Pagodas 龙虎塔 and the Confucius Temple 孔廟.
Spring Autumn Pavilions 春秋阁, Guanyin Status 观音 is riding on a dragon in the front end of Spring and Autumn Pavilions
Dragon & Tiger Pagodas 龙虎塔 was build on the lake, with the dragon and tiger statue, we can enter the Dragon's throat and come out from the tiger's mouth- turning bad luck to good fortune.Inside the Pagoda,there are painted with scenes of heaven and hell to inspire people to do good deed in lifetime.
We didn't go to Confucius Temple as we are going to Tainan台南. We took bus 51 to Zuoying Station and took the train to Tainan, we bought the ticket for NT 67 ($2.8) per person, around half an hour journey.
From Tainan Train Station, need to cross the road and take bus No 2 or 88 to Anping District 安平區
We took Bus No 2 to Yanping Street 安平路, around 30 mins journey,bus fare NT18 ( $0.8) per person.
We went to 周氏蝦捲 for lunch, we ordered 周氏蝦捲 NT 50 ($2.1) and 擔仔麵 NT40 ($1.7)
After lunch, we walked around the Yanping street 安平路
We walked to Anping Old Fort 安平古堡 from Yanping Street
Anping Old Fort- In 1624 Dutch build the first fort in Anping called "Fort Zeelandia" act as administrative center and hub for trading.During Japanese occupation,the inner fortress were completely destroyed. It was named "Anping Old Fort after Restoration of Taiwan.

Next we walked to Anping Tree House 安平樹屋 - The Anping Tree house is actually an old warehouse of foreign trading company Tait and Co. After years of neglect, the banyan tree began to grow around the warehouse.

After the Anping Tree House, we went for some snack, we took the Oyster Omelette 蚵仔煎,Green Bean Soup and Peanut Candy.

We walked to Eternal Golden Castle 億載金城, it was build in 1874 to resist the Japanese troops who invaded Taiwan

We took the bus to Chihkan Tower 赤崁樓 - was build by the Dutch in 1653 as their administration center, name as 'Fort Provintia'.The fort was surrendered to Koxinga and later destroyed by earthquake.It was rebuild and rename as ' Chihkan Tower' 赤崁樓.

After Chihkan Tower, we took bus to Railway station and bought the train ticket to Kaohsiung, NT 106 per person ($4.4)
The popular Du Xiao Yue (度小月) 擔仔麵 has spread throughout Taiwan,originated in Tainan in 1895.Du Xiao Yue is popular for its meat sauce, serve on the Danzai noodle and vegetables. We didn't eat as we are going back to Kaohsiung.
We reached Kaohsiung around 6.30 pm and back to our hotel and rest.
Kaohsiung have a few night markets, Liuhe night market 六合夜市 and Ruifeng night market 瑞丰夜市, both markets are very popular to tourists and locals. We decided to go Ruifeng night market 瑞丰夜市 for dinner, as more locals prefer this market.
We took the Mrt Red line to Kaoshiung Arena 高雄巨蛋, 5 mins walk from Kaoshiung Arena, exit 1.
We took Mongolian Barbecue 蒙古烤肉 for dinner, need to wait for half an hour, very crowded.
They will provide you a empty plate, there are around 10 types of vegetables to choose from, you can fill your plate till full with the vegetables and pass to them and told them what meat you want. Set come with 1 person NT 120, ($5) and 2 persons NT 180, ($7.5) with free refill of rice and soup.
The food was nice and cheap.
Next we have grilled chicken and sausage, the first row NT20 ($0.8) and the second row NT10 ($0.4), cheap.
Ruifeng market 瑞丰夜市 closed on Monday and Wednesday.
We took MRT to Formosa Boulevard Station 美麗島站.
The station is known as 'Dome of light',the largest glasswork in the world. It was designed by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata. It is made up 4500 glass panel.The dome has a 30-meter diameter and covers an area of 660 square meters

We went to Liuhe night market 六合夜市, exit 11 from Formosa Boulevard Station.
We ordered the famous papaya milk 鄭老牌木瓜牛乳.Papaya milk was rich and nice, NT50 ($2) for one cup.
Back to hotel and we are going to Taichung 台中 next morning.
